Introduction
Retlify is a retail technology SaaS platform connecting offline local stores with nearby customers in India. We help shopkeepers digitize their products and allow customers to discover nearby stores before visiting.
By registering or using Retlify, you agree to the terms described in this document. Please read this carefully before using the platform.
Data We Collect
Name, email address and phone number (account creation)
Profile photo — optional, stored only on your device (localStorage)
Google account info — only if you sign in with Google (name, email, Google ID)
Survey responses — to improve the product for Indian retailers
Usage data — pages visited, features used, session times
Device and browser metadata (type, OS, version)
IP address and city-level location (for nearby store discovery)
How We Use Your Data
To create, authenticate and manage your account
To power core features: store discovery, inventory, and customer reach
To send account notifications and password reset emails
To send OTPs via SMS for phone-based login (via Twilio)
To improve our platform using anonymised analytics
To respond to support queries and feedback
To detect and prevent fraud or platform abuse

How We Protect Your Data
bcrypt with 12 salt rounds — plain text is never storedGoogle & Phone Authentication
Google Sign-In
When you use "Continue with Google", we receive your name, email, and Google ID via OAuth 2.0. We do not receive your Google password. We create an account using this info only.
Phone OTP
When you use phone login, we send an OTP via Twilio SMS to verify your number. We store your phone number linked to your account. OTPs are never stored after verification.

Password reset links (only when you request them)

Cookies & Local Storage
Authentication token (JWT) stored in localStorage for session persistence
User preferences: selected language and profile photo stored locally
No third-party tracking or advertising cookies used
You can clear all stored data by signing out or clearing browser data
